This Policy applies to all users of Our Site, including:
a) Candidates/job seekers;
b) Employers (including recruiters and agencies); and
c) Any visitor browsing Our Site.
You must not use Our Site:
a) In any way that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful;
b) To post, upload, send, or otherwise make available content that is false, misleading, or deceptive;
c) To harass, threaten, abuse, or harm others;
d) To infringe any person’s rights (including privacy, data protection, intellectual property, or contractual rights); or
e) To interfere with, damage, or disrupt Our Site or any other user’s access.
When posting jobs, you must ensure that job listings:
a) Are genuine, lawful opportunities and accurately describe the role;
b) Do not contain discriminatory wording or unlawful selection criteria;
c) Do not include misleading pay, location, hours, or contract details;
d) Do not request sensitive personal information at application stage (for example, bank details, copies of identity documents, or other unnecessary sensitive data);
e) Do not promote pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing schemes, or other questionable “work from home” offers; and
f) Do not include malware, tracking links designed to harvest data, or any attempt to divert Candidates to unsafe sites.
When creating a Candidate Profile/CV or applying for jobs, you must:
a) Provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
b) Only upload content you have the right to share; and
c) Avoid including unnecessary sensitive information (for example, bank details, full copies of identity documents, or other highly sensitive personal data) unless you choose to do so and it is appropriate for the application.
You must not post, upload, send, or otherwise make available any content that:
a) Is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or offensive;
b) Is hateful or discriminatory (including on the basis of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage/civil partnership, pregnancy/maternity, race, religion/belief, sex, or sexual orientation);
c) Encourages violence or self-harm;
d) Contains personal data about someone else without a lawful basis;
e) Contains malware, viruses, spyware, or any code designed to harm or exploit systems; or
f) Infringes intellectual property rights.
You must not:
a) Post fake jobs or scam listings;
b) Impersonate a person or company;
c) Attempt to obtain Candidate data through deception;
d) Collect, scrape, or harvest CVs, Candidate Profiles, or contact details from Our Site; or
e) Use Our Site to send spam or unsolicited communications.
You must not:
a) Attempt to gain unauthorised access to Our Site, user accounts, or systems;
b) Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of Our Site;
c) Bypass or attempt to bypass any security or access controls;
d) Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access Our Site except where we have given you written permission; or
e) Introduce any code or action that could disable, overburden, or impair Our Site.
We may take any action we consider appropriate if we believe you have breached this Policy or our terms, including:
a) Removing or editing content;
b) Suspending or terminating accounts;
c) Restricting access to features (for example, CV search);
d) Reporting suspected illegal activity to relevant authorities; and
e) Taking legal action where appropriate.
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
If you wish to report a job listing, user, or content that you believe breaches this Policy, please contact info@jobs-board.co.uk and include as much detail as possible (for example, the job listing title and link, the Employer name, and a description of the issue).
